Janis is part of Groovaly’s Golden Age Designs: a family of sculptural pieces inspired by the warmth, curves, and listening culture of the 1970s.
Designed as a compact listening stand, Janis brings together Bloom, Split, and Nest in a focused three-level composition. It creates a dedicated place for a turntable, compact equipment, and a small LP selection, while keeping the ritual of choosing a record close to the listening moment.
Instead of hiding records in tight shelves or closed storage, Janis brings them into the room. LPs remain visible, easy to browse, and naturally connected to the act of listening.
At the base, Bloom brings Groovaly’s signature browsing gesture into the composition. The drawer opens into a fan-like arrangement, allowing you to flip through your records like the pages of a book and recognize each album at a glance. The Bloom drawer features Groovaly’s patented browsing mechanism — FR2504530.
Above it, Split adds two open compartments for compact hi-fi equipment, books, storage baskets, or decorative pieces, keeping listening essentials visible and close at hand.
At the top, Nest creates a raised platform for a turntable, completing Janis as a compact setup for choosing, playing, and living with records.
Together, Bloom, Split, and Nest make Janis a small but complete listening piece: a place to browse records, host compact equipment, and bring the ritual of vinyl into everyday living.
Crafted from Valchromat with rounded forms and a carefully finished surface, Janis carries the distinctive character of the Golden Age Designs: soft geometry, tactile materiality, and a warm sculptural presence at a compact scale.

Material & Craft
Janis is designed in Paris and crafted in France and Portugal from Valchromat, a high-density wood-fibre material coloured throughout with organic pigments.
Unlike a simple surface finish, Valchromat carries its colour through the material itself. Its dense structure, velvety texture, and mineral matte appearance give Janis a quiet depth and a refined tactile presence.
As part of the Golden Age Designs, Janis is defined by rounded forms, sculptural volumes, and carefully finished edges. Each piece combines CNC precision, careful assembly, and a varnished finish designed to protect the surface while preserving the material’s soft, matte character.
Minor variations in tone, texture, or finish may occur due to the nature of the material and small-batch production. These variations are part of the character of the piece.

Additional finishes may be introduced progressively.

Janis is delivered as carefully protected, fully assembled elements.
The Bloom fan system is assembled at home using the included components and instructions.
For additional safety, wall fixing is recommended for this multi-level composition. The wall-mounting method is explained in the assembly instructions. Wall brackets, screws, and plugs are not included, as the appropriate fixing hardware depends on your wall type.
