Lou is part of Groovaly’s Golden Age Designs: a family of sculptural pieces inspired by the warmth, curves, and listening culture of the 1970s.
Tall, narrow, and expressive, Lou brings together four Groovaly elements in a vertical composition: Grid, Split, Bloom, and Cub. Designed as a sculptural vinyl totem, it creates a strong presence while keeping a compact footprint.
Instead of hiding records in tight shelves or closed storage, Lou brings them into view. Its vertical structure gives the collection a visible role in the room, while surrounding compartments create space for objects, books, bottles, and everyday listening essentials.
At the base, Grid introduces a sense of rhythm and hospitality. Its nine compartments can hold bottles, small objects, or decorative pieces, extending the listening ritual into moments of sharing and gathering.
Above it, Split adds two open compartments for books, storage baskets, compact objects, or decorative pieces, keeping everyday items visible without closing them away.
At the center, Bloom brings Groovaly’s signature browsing gesture into the composition. The drawer opens into a fan-like arrangement, allowing you to flip through your records like the pages of a book and recognize each album at a glance. The Bloom drawer features Groovaly’s patented browsing mechanism — FR2504530.
At the top, Cub completes the vertical structure with a simple open volume for LP records, books, storage boxes, or decorative objects. Its quiet geometry gives Lou balance and height, turning storage into a sculptural presence.
Together, Grid, Split, Bloom, and Cub make Lou a vertical collector’s piece: a place to browse records, display objects, keep bottles within reach, and give music a visible place in everyday living.
Crafted from Valchromat with rounded forms and a carefully finished surface, Lou carries the distinctive character of the Golden Age Designs: soft geometry, tactile materiality, and a warm sculptural presence.

Signature fan-drawer for approximately 50 LP records. The Bloom drawer features Groovaly’s patented browsing mechanism — FR2504530.

Open storage module for approximately 100 LP records, books, storage boxes, or decorative objects.
Together, these elements create a vertical composition combining record browsing, open storage, display, and hospitality.
Material & Craft
Lou is designed in Paris and crafted in France and Portugal from Valchromat, a high-density wood-fibre material coloured throughout with organic pigments.
Unlike a simple surface finish, Valchromat carries its colour through the material itself. Its dense structure, velvety texture, and mineral matte appearance give Lou a quiet depth and a refined tactile presence.
As part of the Golden Age Designs, Lou is defined by rounded forms, sculptural volumes, and carefully finished edges. Each piece combines CNC precision, careful assembly, and a varnished finish designed to protect the surface while preserving the material’s soft, matte character.
Minor variations in tone, texture, or finish may occur due to the nature of the material and small-batch production. These variations are part of the character of the piece.
Finish Options
Lou launches in White Pearl.
Additional finishes may be introduced progressively.
Delivery & Availability
Lou is delivered as carefully protected, fully assembled elements.
The Bloom fan system is assembled at home using the included components and instructions.
For safety, Lou must be secured to the wall after assembly. The wall-mounting method is explained in the assembly instructions. Wall brackets, screws, and plugs are not included, as the appropriate fixing hardware depends on your wall type.
We deliver within approximately 4–12 weeks, depending on destination and availability.
