A Golden Age Listening Cabinet

A sculptural listening piece for LP browsing, compact equipment, and a turntable.

Patti is part of Groovaly’s Golden Age Designs: a family of sculptural pieces inspired by the warmth, curves, and listening culture of the 1970s.

Designed as a compact listening cabinet, Patti brings together Tilt, Split, Bloom, and Nest in a balanced multi-level composition. It creates a dedicated place for records, compact equipment, and a turntable, while keeping the collection visible and easy to explore.

Instead of hiding records in tight shelves or closed storage, Patti brings them into the room. LPs remain accessible, easy to browse, and naturally connected to the act of listening.

At the base, Tilt keeps a generous LP selection visible and easy to explore. Records rest on a recessed base at the back of the module, creating the visual impression that they are lightly suspended. Press the top edge of a sleeve, and the records tilt gently forward, letting you view the cover without removing it from the furniture.

At the center, Bloom brings Groovaly’s signature browsing gesture into the composition. The drawer opens into a fan-like arrangement, allowing you to flip through your records like the pages of a book and recognize each album at a glance. The Bloom drawer features Groovaly’s patented browsing mechanism — FR2504530.

Alongside Bloom, Split adds two open compartments for compact hi-fi equipment, books, storage baskets, or decorative pieces, keeping listening essentials visible and close at hand.

At the top, Nest creates a raised platform for a turntable, completing Patti as a compact setup for choosing, playing, and living with records.

Together, Tilt, Split, Bloom, and Nest make Patti a sculptural listening cabinet: a place to browse LPs, host compact equipment, display objects, and give the ritual of choosing a record a visible role in the room.

Crafted from Valchromat with rounded forms and a carefully finished surface, Patti carries the distinctive character of the Golden Age Designs: soft geometry, tactile materiality, and a warm sculptural presence.

Architecture & Capacity

Patti unfolds as a compact three-level composition:

Base level — Tilt
Wide leaning browsing module for approximately 180 LP records. Records rest on a recessed base at the back of the module and tilt forward when pressed, making album covers easier to view without removing them from the module.

Middle level — Split + Bloom

Split
Two open compartments for compact hi-fi equipment, books, storage baskets, or decorative pieces.

Bloom
Signature fan-drawer for approximately 50 LP records. The Bloom drawer features Groovaly’s patented browsing mechanism — FR2504530.

Top level — Nest
Raised platform designed to host a turntable.

Together, these elements create a compact listening composition combining LP browsing, compact equipment storage, display, and listening.

Material & Craft

Patti is designed in Paris and crafted in France and Portugal from Valchromat, a high-density wood-fibre material coloured throughout with organic pigments.

Unlike a simple surface finish, Valchromat carries its colour through the material itself. Its dense structure, velvety texture, and mineral matte appearance give Patti a quiet depth and a refined tactile presence.

As part of the Golden Age Designs, Patti is defined by rounded forms, sculptural volumes, and carefully finished edges. Each piece combines CNC precision, careful assembly, and a varnished finish designed to protect the surface while preserving the material’s soft, matte character.

Minor variations in tone, texture, or finish may occur due to the nature of the material and small-batch production. These variations are part of the character of the piece.

Additional finishes may be introduced progressively.

Delivery & Availability

Patti is delivered as carefully protected, fully assembled elements.

The Bloom fan system is assembled at home using the included components and instructions.

For additional safety, wall fixing is recommended for this multi-level composition. The wall-mounting method is explained in the assembly instructions. Wall brackets, screws, and plugs are not included, as the appropriate fixing hardware depends on your wall type.
