Curtis
A Central Architecture for Vinyl
Curtis is a sculptural horizontal architecture designed around the ritual of vinyl and the shared presence of music. Conceived as a definitive object rather than simple storage, it forms the central structure of a listening space.
Many vinyl collections fade into the background — hidden in tight shelves or stacked beyond reach. Curtis brings them back into view. Its signature browsing mechanisms allow you to flip naturally through albums, recognizing each record at a glance and rediscovering forgotten favorites.
Organized across three levels, Curtis balances browsing, listening, and convivial presence within a coherent horizontal composition. Records remain visible and accessible, while integrated surfaces host equipment and everyday objects, creating a natural center of gravity in the room.
Designed in Paris and crafted in France and Portugal from Valchromat, Curtis embodies Groovaly’s material language. This refined and durable material — prized in high-end interiors — offers a velvety texture, deep tones, and a mineral matte finish that enhances the piece’s sculptural clarity.
Curtis is not a temporary solution. It is a definitive object created to live with your collection over time — a central architecture that turns browsing into a daily ritual.
Because life’s too short to miss a groove.
Architecture & Capacity
Curtis unfolds as a three-level horizontal architecture:
Grid — nine compartments for bottles or everyday objects
Tilt — holding approximately 180 LPs with its leaning browsing system
Chest — drawer with three compartments proportioned to perfectly fit 7-inch vinyl records (approximately 300 singles), while remaining ideal for everyday objects, hi-fi accessories, or personal items. The upper shelf is suited for equipment or display.
Bloom — signature fan-drawer holding approximately 50 LPs
Top level — Nest
A raised platform designed to host your turntable
Together, these elements create a balanced composition integrating browsing, listening, and convivial presence.
Material & Craft
Each Curtis piece is designed in Paris and crafted in France and Portugal using Valchromat — an advanced material composed of natural wood fibers and eco-friendly pigments.
Renowned in high-end interior design, Valchromat combines durability with tactile refinement. Its velvety texture, rich tones, and mineral matte finish enhance Curtis’s sculptural horizontality.
Every piece blends CNC precision with careful assembly and finishing.
